An Island Is Really Just a Big Sandbox

Jun 15, 2010 21:43

Who: Setsuna and anyone who cares to join
Where: the library
When: after the earth quakes
Notes: na
Warnings: none
Summary: Setsuna is attempting clean up in a very weird way

Setsuna didn't particularly care for his job as a librarian. He had to say he didn't mind the quietness, the time he got to himself, but at the same time it just seemed so useless. What was the point of sitting about, taking care of books that the small population didn't read, want, or probably need? They didn't help them figure out anything about the world they lived in, so why? Half the stuff was inane and stupid anyways, though he did find some entertainment in reading the engineering books  - some so outdate it was laughable.

But for all that he didn't care for the library, it was still his job and Setsuna took an small, small amount of pride in that. Or maybe it was that he couldn't stand messes. Either way, he had Exia out, crouched in the sand, carefully maneuvering the wreckage of the library structure to one side and pushing wads of books and sand in another direction. It was easier than doing it all under normal human power, right? And besides, it gave him a reason to test Exia's systems, however minimal.

To anyone else, though, it probably just looked like a really big kid playing in a sandbox.
