Simple answer: the guy was prosecuted and has been through the criminal justice system. We should be able to see what he looks like. Even though it was consensual, she is still considered the victim. It's bad form for the authorities to release a picture of the victim of a sex crime.

Good points Dave. However what about the fact that this guy was a minor when this crime occured (I'm assuming he was not when he was prosecuted?). Uusually minor's records are sealed to protect them from this type of stuff. I totally agree with the common sense rationale of not releasing sex crime victim's id's, even though in a case of consensual oral sex, there is no real victim (when their both of the same status -minors/adults).

Yeah, I understand your overall point. The whole situation is crappy. It has most folks in the legal community here in Atlanta in an outrage. That piece of crap Scooter Libby can get a commutation, but this kid is left to rot in prison. Can you imagine this happening to a rich, white kid from Buckhead? And there's no chance in hell that Eddie Barker's kid would be in prison.
