You Belong in Fall
Intelligent, introspective, and quite expressive at times...
You appreciate the changes in color, climate, and mood that fall brings
Whether you're carving wacky pumpkins or taking long drives, autumn is a favorite time of year for you
What Season Are You? I have been wounded. Late on Friday night, just before I was due to go to bed, I noticed that nermal was miaowing around outside. So I let her in. And she wanted feeding. So I went to get her can out of the fridge, and in the process I stabbed myself in a sharp pointy bit. It took me half an hour to stop it bleeding for long enough to put a plaster on and go to bed. Grrrrr arrrgh. I haven't yet decided whether I should blame myself for being careless, or morgan for opening the can and leaving a sharp bit, or nermal for wanting food. It is a difficult decision.
And I very foolishly went into the antique shop yesterday and saw a ring I cannot have. It is late victorian and it has a row of three opals and it is beautiful. It only costs £49 but at the moment that is too much money for me. Hmmmmmmmmm.
But apart from that I have had a good weekend! I was working on Saturday but I was only transferring files from one bit of the server to the other, so it wasn't too stressful. I went round to Kelly's and she made me watch Lagaan which I enjoyed much more than I thought I would. She persuaded me to watch it by telling me that if I didn't like it I could kick her as hard as I wanted. And although I still think it could have lost an hour from the middle it was still fun. The plot centres round the efforts of some Indian villagers to win a cricket match against the British officers in order to get out of playing a tax (or lagaan) for three years. The main character seemed to have a list: (1) get rid of tax (2) promote religious tolerance by having muslims sikhs and hindus on the team (3) abolish caste system by having untouchable crippled man on team. The British officers were also most amusing and had a good collection of sneers and silly facial hair.
Yesterday I didn't do much but I had a wander round town. I can't believe I'm leaving in less than a month now! It is weird - I've been in this house for 5 years and in York for 6. It doesn't seem like that long at all.
