DH Thoughts and Whatnots
I had a three hour nap, so I think I've calmed down some.
Warned for "OMG"s "Can you believe...?"s and "lol, she didn't just...?"s and other Spoilery-type nuggets. (rather large spoilery nuggets)
Hokay....Since I'm a 'shipper at heart, of course I zero'd in on Ron and Hermione, because, wow, they were so cuuuute. Harry/Hermione shippers would probly notice the littlest bits (because I did) about Chapter two getting two Hermione mentions and no Rons, but really, that's only the kind of insane thing only I would notice and everyone else would say "So what?" Anyway, Ron/Hermione: Cuuuute. From the little flirts and compliments to the "Dance with me." to 'Is she gonna kiss him because he came back and is a Hero and saved Harry and destroyed the Horcrux and really deserves a nice little snog right about now? NO! She punches him and calls him an arse instead,' it was all cute. Then, somehow, the Kiss doesn't happen til Ron says something about House-Elf rights? heh... Then they're all 'oh, right, fighting a war here.' Cuuuute.
Annoyed me: Harry's scar was a Horcrux? Lame. So he died, but then...he didn't. Cause he's just like Jesus that way? I mean, yeah, my gut was clenching when Harry was being all Emo but walking to his ultimate demise anyway, but that's cause I thought he would, you know...die. And then he just goes and has a nice little chat with Dumbledore and regains consciousness, just like that.
I knew it: Snape. Ha. and Snape/Lily. Not at all my 'ship, but lol.
Deaths that really should have moved me but for some reason seemed really just kinda lame: Fred.:( Remus:( Tonks:(
Deaths that moved me for some inexplicable reason: Dobby:(
Awesome: Molly screaming "NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH!"; Scarred-up-like-crazy!Neville! (he shoulda been the one to get Bella, but oh well); Hermione swearing. Yes. (Merlin's pants, indeed); Luna and her cross-eyed Daddy Lovegood. So much yes.
Wait, what?: So...no resolution on WHY Lily/James happened? And was this just a typo in my book, or did everyone else read Hermione Jean Granger during the Dumbledore's Will chapter? did JK not say her middle name was Jane? Also, Wormtail? What happened there, man?
Hahaha, no: The sappy, fluffy, fan-ficcy Epilogue. Naming the kids Lily and James, ok. Rose, I can see. Albus Severus is stretching it, but ok. then...Hugo? Hermione, that was you, I know it was.... Book could have ended at the END and it would have been just as satisfying.
