So, one of the things we really wanted to do with this comm was hold weekly drabble challenges with themes because, you know, they're fun to write and read and also don't involve too much responsibility. She hadn’t jumped in right then, one of the few times she’d remembered impulse control, but sidled up to him later in Chemistry. “I play guitar.”
He looked over, but she didn’t say anything else, just waited.
“I know you do,” he said finally.
“I’m good.”
He rolled his eyes. “I don’t doubt it Brenda, it’s just. . . .”
She tipped her head to the side and pulled her shoulders straight, pushing her breasts forward a little. If he was going to turn her down for being a girl he could damn well say it. She wasn’t going to apologize.
“My friend Ryan, it’s his band mostly, and he can kind of be an - a jerk. He likes to be in control.”

Lucrezia walks into school on Monday to find that her locker has been vandalized. All sorts of insults have been scrawled all over it, in various shades of Sharpie. They start with 'bitch' and 'whore' and only get worse from there. Lucrezia just sighs, snaps a picture with her phone, and goes to find Cesare.
"Mind if I put of my things in your locker?" she asks. "Mine's been re-decorated." She shows him the picture. He takes the phone and squints, face darkening as he finally makes out the slurs all over the door.
He hands the phone back, his jaw tight, his expression one of forced calm. "They won't be allowed to get away with this," he promises, voice low and angry. "I'll take care of it."
"You've already been reprimanded four times this semester alone for fighting on my behalf," she reminds him ( ... )
