Looking up

Even with all the ugliness of LiveJournal's recent decisions and treatment toward its userbase and the general feeling of panic and stress that often accompanies this time of year, I'm feeling surprisingly positive right now for no real reason that I can fathom. And even though I've been mostly absent as of late (school is a life-sucking entity), I ( Read more... )

I've survived so much LJ migrations. We had several over the past 10 years and in the end, everyone always return here.

This card is absolutely stunning! Love it so much ♥

I got myself a Dreamwidth as a backup, but I don't plan on migrating unless my communities leave, and even then I plan to stick around here. I'm not happy with the way LiveJournal has handled this (customer service does not work that way), and I'm not going to pay for the service because editing comments was what I wanted a paid account for, but I'm not going to leave either. I like it here, damnit.

Thank you. ♥ It's been a while since I broke out my watercolors, but I figured it would look better than if I did it in colored pencil.

Even though I'm stressed on getting the comms up to date -- it was mainly that I lost this week to it, rather than LJ itself. I don't want to move to DW!

That card is amazing! I always love seeing your art, and I suspect you'll definitely brighten her day :)

I'm also really glad to see that you're in a positive place, especially in time for Holidays. Hope you have a wonderful time, dear <3

Ah, I hope you got a bit of a break on that. Updating the comms sounds like no fun at all, and the loss of all that time because of the unnecessary changes made to the site is kind of depressing to think about.

And thank you, dear. ♥ She gave me a very nice gift in return, so I'm thinking she was happy with it.

Hope your Christmas wasn't too stressful, and happy new year to you a bit early just in case I'm not around to tell you that closer to the actual day.

Got a long laundry list to do on both comms, but I'm slowly getting there :) Do you mind just checking in on gammods and seeing if you'll be happy with that adjustment for GAM?

I'm very glad to hear! My Christmas was lovely, it was a function with new family, and it went well. Finally got over a week-long migraine & stomach reaction, also.

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas hon, and Happy New Year a bit early to you too <3

Already did. Hope you're able to get everything done that you need to. ♥

I'm very glad to hear that your Christmas went well (and that shortbread doesn't bother you :D ). Mine was a little busy due to the massive amounts of people that were over at my house (and dealing with my aunts is almost always stressful), but it was pleasant overall. My mom actually got out her cello and played it on Christmas Eve. I love hearing her play.

Right now I'm stupidly excited for my birthday, and my mom apparently ordered a shipment of blue crabs to be sent to us so we can make seafood gumbo for New Years. That'll be fun. :)
