On the drive it just felt so surreal.  I felt totally fine, normal.  Brad was convinced we wouldn't be going home without a baby and I was convinced that I was going to be told I'd been weeing in my pants all day and sent home.

I have to laugh because all the 'peeing on myself' is SO totally what happened to me with my daughter! 1 day before her due date I ended up peeing on myself (without knowing it) and thinking my water had broken. It was clear and didn't smell either. So we go to the hospital, they check the fluid and sure enough, its pee! LMAO! So embarrassing! Then 5 days later when my water DID break I thought it was just pee (I also had a slow leak)! So I hesitated even going to the hospital (was going to be induced the next day). Boy was I grateful when we went and they checked it and said it was amniotic fluid this time!

I love reading this! I had a slow leak and no contractions with Gemma, too and it was totally surreal!

I also had a slow leak, but I had that initial "gush feeling" even though there wasn't much that came out. I knew it was my water and had contrax all day, but didn't feel the need to be stuck in the hospital during early labor. :) Of course, by the time we got there that night (about 12 hours after the leak started), I had to get an iv with antibiotics since it had been so long since my water broke. I guess even if you aren't having frequent ctx they still want you in the hospital if your water breaks...I must have missed that in my birthing class. ;)
