I get to do a little bit of what I like to do - Quilt and Family History and Scrapbooking.

So, since last  entry I have finished the Wedding quilt, and finished a baby quilt. Today (and the last few days) I have been working on finishing a quilt for my sister - she arrives tomorrow, so I want to finish it today.

Soooo.......
I'm back on my mission to complete  the wedding quilt.
Last weekend I started with the gold thread quilting which looks really good.
THe problem is I have already broken 5 needles and I am on my last one.
Guess I'll have to send Peter to Spotlight to buy a couple of packets.
I'll let you kniow how I go.

Haven't had time to do a lot of quilting the last few weeks.
I did start and finish a crazy patch baby quilt for a good friend of mine.
What a surprise that I finished the quilt before I needed it!! LOL.
Anyway. I do hope to get some quilting done this weekend - I want to do the quilting on Peter's neices quilt. It is so beautiful I really want to ( Read more... )

Had a wonderful Christmas lunch yesterday with friends.
One of my friends is also doing the mystery quilt. We both had our blocks 1 and 2 and hers are beautiful.
I said I would have to go to Spotlight with her next time so she can help me choose such beautiful material.
Now back to school planning!!!

I finished block 2 last night, and sadly the only quilting I will be doing now is  basting my sisters quilt.
I now need to do planning for this terms school work. - So sad.
Maybe I schould start another live journal about SCHOOL!!!!
So who knows when I will get back on this blog. When I start Block 3 of the mystery quilt.

I intended to start piecing the mystery quilt today, but was in the mood to finish my sisters quilt.
Of course the top has been finished for over a year - it was the last mystery quilt that I made.
So guess what?
I'm back to basting - but at least this quilt is not queen size!!

Now to start piecing the mystery quilt  tomorrow. I'll also put up some pics.

Ok got a late start today.
I've already watched 2 hours of TV in my nice warm bed, then I got up changed the sheets, put on washing, answered emails, chatted to DD1 on line, and now I am writing this before I go back to ------ basting basting basting. BUT I WILL FINISH THE BASTING TODAY!!!!
