I'm looking for a certain fandom...
Oh, Flist of Awesome, can you guys help me out?
A few years ago, soon after I discovered fanfic, I hooked my mom on it too! =D It still cracks me up that my mom loves fanfic. We both started on Starsky and Hutch, and she has recently re-discovered her love of "Wild Wild West." She's kind of obsessed with it.
She even found her own fanfic for it!
But it's not a livejournal site, nor is it fanfic.net. (I admit that I have no idea what it is. I think it's just an individual's webpage.)
She's been looking for more fic, and asking me to help her find more sites, because she's almost finished reading everything that she can find.
I figured, "LJ's got EVERYTHING. I'm SURE there's a WWW fandom on LJ."
So, when I was at her house today, I got her to sign up for LJ, and then we tried to find some WWW sites or communities.
Yeah.
I'm not so good at searching LJ for things, guys. I'm not sure what I'm doing.
We found one community, but the last time it had been updated was 5 weeks ago, and there was no fic on the first two pages. So that doesn't look very promising.
My mom's really stressing out right now because my brother just moved out yesterday, and she has NEVER lived alone, in her 64 years. She's having panic attacks about living alone.
Her blood pressure shot up into stroke range for about a month, before we finally got it back under control, just because she was ANTICIPATING living alone.
Well now that he's moved out, I'm trying to make her see how much she can do with her own life. Since she's already excited about WWW fic, I thought I'd help her find more.
'Cause we ALL know how good fanfic can be for us, right? :)
BUT WE CAN'T FIND ANY!!!
So here's my request: Do any of you know where we can find some Wild Wild West fanfic? I was hoping for a community, but just the journals of a few who write and post their stories would be more than we've got now.
I'll take whatever you can give me, folks (of course, to make matters worse, she's only interested in gen. I did tell her that she could still join a community that had slash or het, and just not read those, and she's fine with that. I'm just not looking for a community that's ONLY slash...)
Does anyone out there know of any?
