My sister asked me if I was gay tonight. I didnt answer. We kept talking and she kept saying "you're avoiding my question" :(

If she asked then she had to have thought about it before hand. If she would not have been alright with it then I don't think she would have just asked you.
You should look at this as a good thing. She has thought about it and would not have asked you if she wasn't in some way accepting of it.

I think she is alright with it..maybe I need to journal about the entire event (and the feelings behind it). I might feel better.

Very scary moment, I'm sure. However, I think bigmosaywhat is right in saying that she would not have asked if she had not been thinking about it. By previous posts, I seems your sister is accepting and tolerant, so it might be a good thing to let her know. On the other hand, if you're not ready to take that step, then don't. Since you seemed uncomfortable, you might not be ready just yet. See what happens next time you're with her and take it from there. *HUGS*

I know it's scary. Hell, I left a not for my dad then went to a different state for a week because I was too afraid to tell him, afraid of his reaction. But is she's asking you, then asking you again (the "you're avoiding my question" thing) then I think she really wants to know and would be okay, in general. Good luck, cutie.
