I'm boycotting "The L Word". Tell all your friends they should do the same. I'm also starting a letter writing campaign. Want to help? No, all white people aren't the same. But a lot of black folks who want white folks to let them into their inner circles are all the same. It just means that most black lesbians don't spend their evenings sitting up under a bunch of white lesbians.

Peace and blessings, girl. No time no post. How are you and your partner? I've missed the intellectual stimulation you all give.

We're great. Thanks for asking. We've been swamped with travel and work and haven't been on LJ in ages. My partner actually deleted her entire journal a couple of months back, but I still log on once in a while. We both look forward to the L-Word -- it's no Boondocks, but it's entertainment. I know there aren't any black lesbians on it, but they do have a hispanic character and a couple of black characters. That's more than I expected.

If you get a minute, check out this old article, "Fear of a Black Lesbian Planet," in Curve -- http://www.curvemag.com/Detailed/4.html. In a sense, it's related to your initial post. Let me know what you think.
