I moved into a new apartment. . .the first "real" apartment with the new girl. She's great. . .we're doing some serious traditionally structured things right now with me working and her being at home unpacking the place. Pimples and moving
I have a few pimples on my face. . .school is almost over. . .GSE is about to start. At first, I was very apprehensive about this year's GSE. . .but now I'm just really freaking excited. The girl will be here all by herself, but hey, I do get nights off. I'm deciding if I want to move after GSE is over. I'm thinking of moving in September ( Read more... ) -
Graduation
Even though I'm awaiting grades from one class, I can officially claim that I now have an M.Ed and don't know what the heck I'm going to do with it. Teaching's not my gig, anymore. . .one more year of Teaching Fellows. Speaking of teaching, GSE starts in month for me and I'm not terribly excited. 36 and counting. . .
. . .on the Master's Research/Thesis. One friend had 80 something pages. . .and I can say that I'm quite content with my 36 (it'll be about 50 after I add all appendices). It's due on my "mentor's" desk on Wednesday. . .and in the grad school office on the 30th. Let's pray it passes without a hitch. . .and if you have any advice. . .give it all ( Read more... ) -

I got into the Princeton Review LSAT class for a "whopping" $40. That's a freaking sweet price. . .considering the course is normally $1999. Thank God for being an employee. So, we all know this means--Shameka will be applying for law school this fall! Let's pray that I don't have to retake it in October (for a higher score ( Read more... ) -

So, because I keep up with my friends through lj, I like to think tha tmy friends keep up with my life through this same forum. Ergo, this update of what the hell is happening in Shameka's life. So, I'm pretty sure it's time to get started on my Research project/thesis. If only my faculty mentor would contact me to give some sort of guidance. Oy vey. . . -

Digital Camera advice
I'm planning to purchase a new digital camera. These are my specs:

$400 or less. . .
I don't know what I should be looking for in optical zooms.
Any advice?
