Puppies will soon replace cupcakes as the celebratory indulgence of choice.

I thought you were looking into getting a little lapdog first?

Well, I was because I thought we'd be staying here until Henry finished his PhD, but a/ he has agreed to move if we find the right place, and b/ he also made a good point about Peyton's prey drive. He might attack a small dog, and, honestly, he could step on some of the breeds I've been looking at. P is a very clumsy boy and I could easily see him accidentally hurting a smaller sibling. Another greyhound would be a better fit.

However, there is one exception to this rule: if I find a corgi at a shelter, and s/he gets along with P, we are totally going for it! I love corgis. ^_^

Thank you!! :D

We're still in shock over how quickly everything happened. I am seriously going to write a letter to our local immigration agency to thank them for making this a relatively painless process. Everyone we met has been professional and polite, which is a relief considering the horror stories I have read/heard.
