Oh.

Oh my. This is so achingly beautiful. Everything about it is wonderfully poetic and poignant look at things through Castle's eyes in these moments. Leaving it there was quite mean but still so perfect. That last sentence makes my heart clench. I can't pick a favorite piece, but I do love this: "His to love or not, he already might" and of course, this: "And Rick doesn’t ask why, but she tells him anyway and his heart expands, even as it contracts - his heart, his whole world - and it’s as painful as it is not when she says, “It’s yours.”"

I cannot wait for the next update!!

ps - what i love most about this story is how selfless castle is in this story. and how painfully obvious it is how much kate loves him. and I love YOU for it.
