Ware Spoilers
BRIENNE! I am so glad to see her show up. I may have thumbed through the book a couple of times looking for her name on the chapter titles (all these vague titles are thwarting my attempt to mildly spoil myself), and now she is alive and reunited with Jaime! Well, I suppose she could still have been zombified or something, but, things are looking up right now. Although, who could she possibly have found?
Two thirds of the way through the book and none of my favorite characters have died horrible deaths yet. I am afraid this is too good to last.
I love how this series could be titled "the one where no one's plans work out, ever." I was surprised when Quentyn actually managed to show up in Meereen, because I think that's the first time in the many journeys of this book that someone has actually gotten to where they set out for.
Speaking of, DANY WHAT ARE YOU DOING? Haha, I like that EVERYONE is trying to get to Meereen to marry Dany, and she goes and marries some random pyramid guy and thwarts them all without even trying. This is clearly going to end badly, and I am worried, but also amused.

Arya is the most awesome. I need so much more than one chapter of her, I hope there are more coming. Although I am also interested in fake!Aryas one and two, especially Alys.
I have been promising myself that I would go to bed after one more chapter for a couple of hours now. They all hang in cliffhangers, though, and then I have to keep reading until I get to the character's next POV chapter, which half the time doesn't even come, and anyway by that time I'm sucked into someone else's cliffhanger. I'm not hugely invested in everyone's stories (most of my favorite characters were dealt with heavily in the last book, with the exception of Tyrion and Dany), but there are enough stories that I care about to keep me flipping pages until 2:00 in the morning, apparently.
