Looks like a nice blog; I've added it to my Google Reader set. I, too, am using Wordpress (albeit on my own website). I didn't get fed up with Blogger, but rather all the changes here at LJ -- in particular, the DDOS attacks that led me to wonder if my blog would still be around. So last December I just moved it over to my website, and have just mirrored it -- originally just to LJ, and now to Dreamwidth and LJ. I've been particularly happy with the Akismet plugin to handle spam. I've seen very few false positives, and had only the occasional spam get through.
To return to the subject of tea: I'm the type that goes through a lot of tea in a year; you can see my recent tea orders here. I'm always open for suggestions of things to try.
Thanks! I also have stopped updating my LJ frequently, but that happened long ago. But I still keep it and use the LJ to participate in various communites (and occasionally post). There have been a lot of changes at LJ that I haven't liked, but I don't think anything as egregious as what bothered me about Blogger. Their spam filter was sending some of my regular legitimate readers to the spam folder when they left comments, and I was getting a ton of spam not going to that folder...but more importantly, they weren't shutting down spam blogs I was reporting. I was worried that that was devaluing the blogspot domain and thus harming the visibility of my blog if it was hosted there.
So far, my blog seems to be attracting more attention on the new wordpress domain, which is good!
I share most of my specific recommendations on RateTea, and I keep my tea blog for more general writings that are somewhat personal but also not just specific tea reviews.
