Trying to decide on a loose leaf Earl Grey

I will probably be ordering samples but was wondering if anyone could give any suggestions.

I've been drinking bagged Bigelow Earl Grey for years and occasionally Twinnings.  I also love loose "Earl Grey de la Crème" but I'm still looking for something stronger.

I feel like I want slightly more Bergamot than what I get in the Bigelow or the Crème  ( Read more... )

I adore earl gray with bergamot from peets coffee and tea. This does not have lavender though.

Also stash is good. Not sure if it comes loose or not.

Certainly the peets is far better quality than the stash.

try an Earl Grey sampler from www.apollotea.com, They have five different good Earl Greys. Perhaps, one will be what you want

I second this. I know Apollo Teas gets some of their wares from the wholesaler Metropolitan Teas, whom I order from now and then. The Earl Grey I bought from Metro had a very strong but not overpowering bergamot flavor.

My favorite Earl Grey is from Ahmad Tea, London. http://www.ahmadtea.com/purchase/
It's a classic! I buy it loose when I can. It's got a strong bergamot flavor, but not overpowering, and not fake-tasting like Stash Tea, for example.

My husband likes the earl grey blends from adagio, and I know I can smell the earl grey from teavanna (yeah I know) from across the room
