Okay, so this last Thursday I went down to Oakland to start the process of getting my new tattoo! I have been planning for this for at least 4 years. I found a great tattoo artist, Rocio, a few years ago. She tattoos at this Place:

Soooo awesome!! And BIG! no wonder you needed to lay down! lol. Mine was a two-session thing too. The first session wasn't bad at all, but I still was tender for the second one and RED was a painful color. Ha!

It is a red-tail hawk. I worked with Rocio sending images back and forth and then we did some tweaking to the image once we were there.

Ow-ow-ow-ow-ow! But I bet it will be beautiful! I have seen soooo many tattoos since I moved to California. But I attribute that to the fact that the people down here don't wear fleece 10 months out of the year like Oregonians do.

Yeah, there's a LOT of body ink that never shows up in Oregon. TOO DAMN COLD!

it won't really show up here either - remember this is the PNW as well. too too cold and wet here as well. But I'll know it's there.

I am on break - though going in a few minutes to work. something wrong with that :(

Yeah, I suspect the next time really really be ow ow ow :)

I'm trying to get caught up on older posts, it's great to go back and see what people have done :)

Oh, a month might work out well. I only did 10 days. It was totally worth it, but that second session was painful. Totally worth it, but painful.

thanks - now I am playing with different colors for it - that's fun - get to use my colored pencils :)
