Good job -- I'm sure Mother Nature is smiling down on you and Gina for your good deed. And I'm going to believe that she rested up for a while and then winged her way into the sunset.

I like your fantasy and I hope it comes true. Well done! Birds can survive some amazing things. At least Hermione has a chance now, where she had no chance before.

I know, her predicament was horrible. I hope she just rested up and got down to eating.

Like any of you I could no more walk past her struggling than, I don't know, walk past her struggling... inconcievable. Let's all imagine good life for Hermione.

oh and I am instantly hungry thinking about Santa Cruz and it's gourmet ice creameries and bakeries and eateries...

I love that about you - we had a great dinner last night at Johnny's, yummmy! Sadly most of the bakeries are off limits for me with the gluten thing. BUT, Pacific Cooking Company, one of my FAVORITE. PLACES. EVAR! is selling three types of gluten free cookies. The chocolate chip salted are unbelievable. Really amazing cookies. Gina and I are sure they are crack.
