So... Xbox360 v. PS3

Apr 06, 2008 22:27

I'm debating whether to get an Xbox360 or PS3.

For those of you who own any of these, tell me which version you have and which I should get. ( I don't expect to be doing a shit ton of online multiplayer )

360 hands down.

So many great games and no end in sight for new titles.

Unless final fantasy13 and MGS4 are the sole games you want to play get a 360

Yeah, there are more 360 games that I want. What version of 360 should I get?

the PS3 is getting a decent library about now, and with the whole "blu ray wins" you now have a bluray player along with it. but the 360 also has a much larger choice of good games, multiplayer or not.

I'm happy with the amount of online multiplayer games with the 360, but you mentioned that you weren't interested in that. I'd still get one regardless because as mentioned before there are a lot of good games.

MGS4 would be the only reason I'd get the PS3 for now... until more people start learning how to make games for it

Yeah, the library is amazing. Plus alot of developers are developing games for PS3 and 360 at the same time. Which version should I get?

It doesn't matter. There's the Arcade, Premium, and Elite. The Arcade comes with a memory card, Premium with a 20GB HDD, and Elite 120GB HDD.

The Elite is the most cost efficient (since by itself a 120GB is like $180), so I went with that. I tend to download a lot of game demos and movies so it fills up quickly. Plus, it's black and matches my setup...

What exactly do you use the storage for? Sorry, I'm a 360 nub

360 is cheaper. I have one and it is fab. I don't think the bluray is worth the extra money, and unless you're dying for some PS3-exclusive games, I see no real benefit of the PS3.
