GORGEOUS design, I love it! It's so classy looking. Do you just buy a lot of plain nails and use a bottle of nail glue or do you customize kits and use sticky papers? Sorry if it's a stupid question XD

thank you (:
i actually don't, never have, probably never will use fake nails XD

i buy fake nails so i can use them to make tutorials, swatches or sometimes friends/customers request a custom set of nails made by me

for tuts/swatches it's easier for me, because my nails are painted 24/7. if someone wanted a tutorial or swatch i'd always have to take off whatever i'm wearing at that moment and i'd prefer to change my nails 2x max per week ^_^;;

This is probably a really stupid question but do you have to let each layer fully dry before going on to the next layer?

hihi,
not a stupid question at all!
i recommend that you let your base color ('how far is heaven' in the tut) set to prevent pulling or smudges

it doesn't have to be *fully* dry, just dry enough so that if you put another layer over it, it won't get messed up :D

for the colored tips, i'd say let that dry as well (doesn't have to be fully dry, for the same reason as why i'd rec you to dry your base color)

i suppose it wouldn't be a big issue if you didn't really let your colored tips dry, because that way you can smudge and blur the color so it's a more blended gradation. but i personally don't like to risk my polishes to get contaminated with other colors so i wait for things to set or at least semi set (: you can always clean your brushes if they get contaminated, but i'm very lazy LOL

for the glitters.. totally up to you!
esp if you're using similar glitters, it won't really matter if they get mixed right? :D

if i was unclear about anything just let me know (:

Thanks a lot! I'm just starting to try nail art so I don't know much yet. I'll be sure to try out your tut asap. :)
