Hawk uses those all the time but I have yet to figure out how to do one. Of course I rarely ever post on LJ so I probably dont need to know...lol

it has to do with your adult content settings and if you have your date of birth listed in your profile. If someone has their journal set to 'adult content' then that cut will show up for all entries marked with adult content unless you give lj your year of birth so that they know you are old enough to see it. No date of birth, and you will get that warning for any entries people have set to 'adult content'.
