I can't believe I'm actually sitting at work with tears running down my face!
I'm relieved because it's coming out soon enough that I'll be able to enjoy it while relaxed and not while on the run from a sociopath (long story...maybe I'll tell you sometime)

I was thinking about my meeting Henry Jenkins when I remembered an anecdote about Christina Rosseti one of my English Professors once told us. Yup, that's how much of a nerd I am...I fangirl an academic! hee hee I read his Textual Poachers... back in 2000 and it sparked my flame of interest in participatory culture and I've never looked back.
He's very nice and approachable...
The only thing is..my social phobia reared it's ugly head (as ever...)

On my introduction to Harry Potter...
I have to admit, Harry Potter had me at Alan Rickman.
I’m one of those people who really loves something….until it becomes mainstream or, the “it” thing to have/be/say/wear etc. Not aware of the whole Harry Potter phenomenon until the fourth book came out, you can imagine my Snape-like sneer upon seeing the lines of people waiting for it.
