Dear NM Peeps (particularly those are/were at UNM),

Does anyone know anything about the Villa de San Filepe apartments? I have a friend that's thinking about living there. Or, do you have a good recommendation of apartments that are safe, nice, cheap, and within walking distance of UNM?

NOT Sun Village. It has a gate that only works for residents but it lets axe murderers and small forest creatres in with no problem at all. Also it is made of ass and fail.

Villa de San Felipe is good, but not walking distance. Try http://albuquerque.craigslist.org/apa/ it has some apartments and also a lot of small houses for rent. Most of the time if it is near UNM it'll say on the webpage. Also try http://bergerbriggs.com/apartmen.php, a lot of apartments near UNM, though not as nice as San Felipe.

Best option might be not walking distance but with a nominal fee for bus service to UNM. A lot of what's closest is skeeze, because it's near Central.
