It's a day of completions, at least it's supposed to be. Today is the last day we'll have the original space that held the Teacup, so I'm off to do those "clean out the fridge, sweep the floor, check under the bed" things one does when one is leaving an old home. ( Cut for those that don't want to listen to me muse on and on. )

I woke up to 3-4 inches of the white stuff in my front yard. Yes, snow. Yes, again.

They promise it will all be gone by lunchtime. None of us believe them, but we're humoring them because we're a little afraid they'll get violent if we don't.

What is the fascination we all have with the big round number? Somehow days that include them just seem that much more important, and this is one of the more personally important of them for me. Sitting watching the Oscars is always kitschy, and goofy, but also fun and sometimes inspiring as well. This year was no exception. This year even made me think about myself and my place in the world.( Cut for those that really don't want to know )

The weather in darling Seattle has been between "glorious and sunny, so you're sure spring's just around the corner" and "is that f**king snow coming down, again?". The Venetian just called. Yes, the high end faux-northern Italian casino in Las Vegas. Did I want to open a Teacup there next to their Coach and Nieman Marcus stores? They are looking for a high end tea "salon" apparently. Their word, not mine. They are sure it's the perfect spot for tea, and are calling around high end tea stores to see who'd ( Read more... )
