Worse than the sickness, worse than losing his powers and then practically freezing -how the hell did people stand being that cold all the time- Pyro was fast developing a hatred for the medical facility and its security, or lack of. He came out of the place in worse shape than he went in.
It wasn't anyone's fault, really. Mostly. Maybe.
What Pyro was cursing was opportunistic mutant hunters and the fact that people didn't seem to get that a slap on the wrist and being told 'bad boy' really didn't do anything beyond make dogs growl. The fact that Jack waited until Pyro was completely powerless should've highlighted that the guy knew exactly what he was doing. Why the hell Pyro wasn't actually dead, he had no idea. But the newly cracked rib, black eye and busted lip pretty much informed the pyrokinetic that he could've been.
It was why, after finally getting his powers back, high tailing it out of the medical centre practically locking himself in his room for a few hours, Pyro eventually just decided to suck it up and go to see Sykes.
What the fuck he was going to say, he had no idea, even when he was standing outside the office and arguing with himself, he still wasn't sure what the fuck he was doing there. He should've gone to Mac instead, but fuck, she'd been just as bad as he was.
