How could there be a Myst fandom anyway, I never figured out the game, I just kept wandering around and then that got boring and I was like OH GOD THIS IS SO GAY and played The Incredible Machine instead.

MYST WAS ALSO A SERIES OF BOOKS. With characters and worlds and a story and everything. That I thought were pretty rad at the time. (I was probably in middle school?) I think I finished both Myst and Riven, although I'm sure the internet contributed some useful clues. I think I bought whatever game came after that but couldn't play it because it made me dizzy. I was all like "WHY ARE WE MOVING? I PREFERED THE SIMPLICITY AND LAMENESS OF THE PREVIOUS POINT-AND-CLICK WORLDS."

And as far as The Incredible Machine is concerned... you would. That's all I have to say.
