Daken, while bold, wouldn't be caught dead letting her hear him approach, and Wade would've made much more noise just to be a little shit. Which really only left her with one option.
"Spencer?"
Rolling over, she blinked up at the person sitting on her bed and sat up slowly. "It's late, are you okay?"

Would he be granted a room change without giving a reason for the request?
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you. I'll see you in the morning, yeah?" And he really had meant to turn around and head out, rather than just slowly shift towards the door with a lack of enthusiasm.

"You're gonna sit your ass down on this bed and tell me what's goin' on." Had he not known Haylie the way he did, he'd probably think she was being harsh, when really it was just her protective nature kicking in on top of her usual brand of sarcasm.

"It's nothing, just, I dunno, just my head's a little messed up just now I think." He wasn't really sure what he could blame it on. There was no way he could explain it, no way he could actually get the words right in his head never mind coming out his mouth.
The best thing to do was just sit there, lean into Haylie and be thankful that she didn't just let him leave. Because he really didn't want to leave.
