Kiss Your Mouth With My Lips - For Vance

It really shouldn't have been a surprise when she felt the bed shift behind her, alerting her that there was someone sleeping next to her, but it was. For half a heartbeat Angie felt a twinge of panic like she'd been caught doing something only to berate herself a moment later. Of course there was someone in her bed. Sometimes, he'd wake up in the middle of the night and end up watching her. It really felt like they slept in two separate beds sometimes; there was just this space between them, and it wasn't just the half a foot of mattress there. "Mmhmm" She replied softly and dropped her hand. "Sorry I woke you. I don't really know why I did that. I just..."

How could she explain how lonely she felt without hurting his feelings or causing a fight? She wasn't trying to blame him though sometimes she wish she could. Sometimes she wished he weren't so wonderful so she didn't feel so terribly guilty about wanting something more passionate.

Rather than try and find the words, her hand came up to his chest and she scooted closer until they were maybe an inch apart. Close enough to feel the other's body heat but not really touching except with their hands.

"'s okay." Really, he didn't mind, he'd need to get up soon anyway, this was just a little more welcome than the blare of the alarm. Sliding one arm under his head, Vance turned onto his side, so that he was fully facing Angie, his other hand still against her hip, toying with the fabric of her jammies.

"You sure you're okay?" This was the first time in a long time that Vance had the luxury of waking up roughly the same time as Angie -lately, he'd been assigned a few of the earlier morning mini-missions that required him up long before a decent time. Vance never liked waking his wife at that time, so a soft kiss to her forehead and one for Nori and he was out the door usually.

But this week, it seemed he'd been given some later assignments instead, "Need to talk?"

His concern was sweet and made her smile a little. "I guess I just miss you. Stupid, huh? I mean you're right here. I see you everyday." It wasn't so stupid when one considered how much of that time they saw each other was in passing, when dealing with their daughter, or getting ready for bed. They almost never made time for each other anymore ( ... )
