answering questions (mission with Wade)

Having read through everything Ethan had managed to collate, Emma took the night to plan things out. If she was already granted her 'leave' and Ethan could see to it that Wade was given the day or two it took them, Emma only had to consider the transport. Which she took care of, in the form of a lear jet flying out of Seattle ( Read more... )

When the Captain had approached Wade about the mission it wasn't surprising. Silly, perhaps, to be on a mission while on a mission, but all apart of being undercover. So he would think. At least he was getting an adventure and some time to play with his abilities ( ... )

"No," since Wade was earlier than they'd been scheduled to be there for, she was ridiculously early. But she'd wanted to be sure that her specifications had been met and that she wasn't dealing with idiots. Not to mention, there was a certain degree of sensitivity regarding just how public the whole thing could be. "I was just overseeing our transport."

The jet was nothing fancy, a simple private craft that she'd borrowed from a friend of a friend who once worked for her father and didn't mind the air miles when he was getting paid.

"Shall we?" She knew that Ethan had already briefed Wade, so there was no point in her going through everything again, which meant there was no point in bothering with any telepathic link.

The further through the mission, the more likely she was to take diamond form for safety, and then there would be nothing for Wade to worry about. But he didn't need to know that now.

Relaxation, commence. Emma was efficient, on top of things, HBIC. He wasn't late. Good.

"Ladies first." Wade gestured with his arm, letting her up the walkway onto the 'not so fancy' private craft. He had traveled on much worse. Not that he would be complaining or anything.

Securing a seat in the necessary space, Wade kept the gym bag with his swords and vest at his feet. He had a few hours until he'd need to put them on, then it would be glue to paper. The mission seemed routine and he probably wouldn't even need to bullet vest.

But he wasn't going to be a cocky shit.

Heading into the plane, Emma -much as Wade did- deposited her bag by a seat and took her own. She wasn't fully trained like Wade, she didn't have the skill set he did. She was a guns and fists sort of person, and usually her own defence was her mutation -the secondary one at least.

"We have three hours," which meant they could shoot the shit, sleep or just chill out. "We'll land in Minnesota and travel by jeep to the location." And then it was underground for the 'fun' part.

It was hardly well planned, it couldn't be. Under the radar as it was, Emma was relying completely on Wade's professionalism and skill set to muscle through where her determination and vengeance took them. "Any in-flight movie requests?"
