Arranged -marriage-? At this point, absolutely not. My family and friends have tried to set me up, and they do mean very well, and it warms my heart, but I am not ready for dating. I'm a bit stunted and it has to do with me not having a job, not registering for classes quite yet and other things, namely my recovery. After I have a year clean again, I -have- to date. It's the rule in the fellowship, among others. I feel...not good..about it and will lean on sponsors and friends.

I tried match. com and got too scared. I used OKCupid and had good conversations but nothing more. Yet my dating pool is small, and I want to marry a Latina because that is what I know. I want to marry a strong, independent, financially stable, well-educated paramedic. I am nervous about it, but when everything boils down, career does matter and that is what I want in a spouse.
