Art Post: In the Eye of Heaven
My masterpost for the Dean/Castiel Big Bang!! My partner in crime was deathjunke and she wrote In the Eye of Heaven.

The title banner. It reminds me of the title pages for a soap opera xD It makes me think of Dean watching television, so I kept it :)
Separator. This was both really fun to draw (the whole, un-mutilated wing) and a gigantic pain in the ass (the tattered, mutilated wing of pain and death). I do like the colors.
SPOILERS FOR FIC ONWARD
I First Laid Eyes on You. This went through many transformations. Seriously, the original sketches looked nothing like this. For one, it was a vertical formation for the panels, but like, the Friday before post day, I said "fuck this shit!" and scrapped the whole thing and did it all again from scratch. Absolutely insane and so worth it. I'm so much more satisfied with this than I was before.
To Face the Days of Glory. This one didn't deviate from the original sketches a lot. Like, the only thing I ever really changed was the wings. I kept screwing them up, and I was really frustrated, so the day before post day, erased all the feathers and wings and just started fresh. The lights in the wings are based on nebula. On my tumblr I stumbled onto an online nebula maker and kinda fell in love. I drew the fucker by hand because the program refused to give me the nebula lights without the black background, and I really didn't want to try and separate them by hand.
