That is WIERD. Your x-rays would have shown any teeth kind of under your wisdom teeth that might have room to grow in there after your wisdom teeth got out of there - and if you had a doctor with any brains he probably would/should have pointed that out to you. My best guess it that you had a tooth that had too much crowding (before, when you still had that wisdom tooth in there) and it didn't have the room to grow in above the gums.
Post more about this when you find out! I'm really curious. I might check out www.webmd.com later and see if anything like that is listed.
