Author's Note:  Well, folks, we're getting down to the wire.  Odds are, this is the second to last chapter.  I might even finish and also post the last chapter tonight.  Probably not, but we'll see.  Oh, and this chapter is like 500 words shorter than all the others.  No clue why.

They searched Arlene's house for several minutes, and after a while ( Read more... )

If they can't achieve "hardship" by combining
1) a very angry and murder-determined Arlene
2) "Summoning Beasts (Without Losing Their Allegiance)"
3) the worst of it all, Lisa Cuddy when she finds out who her boyfriend is leaving her for...
there's no way it can ever happen!

I love House's protective gesture towards Wilson, too.

I'm looking forward to the end of this gripping tale (and am sorry it's so soon finished at the same time).

I suspect that hardships won't be very *ahem* hard to come by in the next chapter. I'm so glad ou're enjoying it. Thanks for reading and reviewing.

Aw. It's almost over? Sad.

"I'm guessing not," Wilson answered him. When House frowned darkly, he chuckled. "Sorry, but hardships for House usually don't align with hardships for the world."

LOL. That's probably very true.

I'm eager to see how this ends....even though it has to.

Yeah, I'm kind of sad about the impending end as well. I hope you'll read other stuff I have coming up. :)

Thanks for sticking with it.

I confess that I can't see why they're so determined to go back to their reality, now that they have their memories back and are together. If it were just the two of them of course they'd prefer their real lives to these ones (especially since House doesn't have a medical license in this reality), but it means that AMBER DIES!!! Wouldn't they be willing to make some sacrifices to keep her alive?

Actually, there's nothing I'd rather for this story than for House and Wilson being able to "keep" Amber. Unfortionately, as I mention in the next chapter, there's more than just Amber's fate at stake here.

Thank you for reading and reviewing!

The fact that I'm pretty sure I know the gist of what will happen next, is in no way deterring me from reading the next chapter the moment I see it.
