Author's Note: So, I'm definitely new to Torchwood, and I've never seen Dr. Who (though for the story I did do a little research), but this plot bunny wouldn't leave me alone, making writing the next chapter in my House story freaking impossible. I'm hoping that by bring this fic to fruition I can move on.

I don't know if I'm more relieved you've found a deserving fandom for your gifts (I've never seen any of Torchwood/Dr Who, but I follow karaokegal so much I feel like I know them a bit) or sad at the thought your unfinished H/W fic will stay unfinished for quite a while.

And it's kind of fun to think that for Americans it's hard to write British English. Of course in my head the two languages are inextricably mixed so I can't be of help.

Best of luck with this new project, and I hope you don't feel stalked if I occasionally leave inane comments like this one :).

Hiya! I'm actually thrilled that you stopped by. I always look forward to your comments. :)

My plan is to continue with The Hilson Files, and somehow writing this Torchwood fic has been helping because I've already got the first draft of the next chapter almost done. I don't know how long it'll work, but hey. I'm not complaining.

And you know, as far as my inability to write "British" goes, I'm not exactly sure why I have such a hard time with it, though I know I do. And I'd hate to think that I'm acting disrespectful if I just ignore the cultural differences and pretend that I don't know that they speak differently in other countries. And plus, as you know, I take the whole writing thing pretty seriously, so I want it to be as close to accurate as possible.
