“Jessi!”
Tiffany pulled her key out of the lock and entered her apartment. Not hearing a reply to her call, the cheerful college student quickened her pace to enter the living room. It wasn't odd that this young diligent student came home to an empty house.
In fact, it was something she always expected after a long day of lecturing. Tiffany was always caught up in her studies and due reports. It was considered the normal life of a hardworking student. The college life wasn't always so easy or stress free. When she was not home she was on campus studying, taking tutoring while in the process of still learning Korean, or she devoted her time to college organizations to help other students in need.
There have been plenty of nights where Tiffany caught no sleep and pulled all nighters to be prepared for tests and up coming exams. The only comfort the bubbly woman found in this intense life style was that she only had one year left before graduating and returning back home to America to see long missed relatives again. There have been times when Tiffany felt homesick and cried a few times to not being back at the comfort of her own home. Tiffany gripped on to her backpack and stood in the living room, scanning her surroundings.
“Jessica?!” Tiffany called again.
There was a loud thump in another room and a shine of light lit the hall, leading from the living room to the bedrooms. Tiffany walked towards the bright gleam and let out a sigh of relief. The blonde haired girl standing in the door way smiled and took her glasses off.
“I'm sorry. I was working on my thesis for my English essay. I didn't hear you. How was class?” Jessica replied.
Tiffany groaned and rubbed her eyes tiredly.
“I'm so tired!!” Tiffany complained. “I have my day off tomorrow, but I need to work on my homework today. I should finish my assignments by noon tomorrow. Then I have to attend work and I won't be back until ten tomorrow night.” Tiffany looked down to her left hand, remembering the plastic bag she brought. “Oh! And I um...brought some dinner for you on the way home.” Tiffany held up the white bag to her girlfriend.
“I already ate, but we can save it for tomorrow.” Jessica responded.
Tiffany turned around to go tot he kitchen to store the freshly bought meal. Jessica reached out and grabbed Tiffany's wrist to stop her.
“No, let me put it in the fridge. You need to relax.” Jessica insisted.
“It's okay. I can do it.” Tiffany declined.
Jessica tightened her grip.
“Please, let me. You've had three classes today and you look tired. You need to calm down.” Jessica explained, taking the bag from Tiffany's hand. “Why don't you take a hot bath? I'll meet you there when I put this food away.”
Tiffany had no choice but to agree and walked over to her bedroom to put away her backpack neatly, along with her shoes. She had to admit that she looked forward to bathing with Jessica. Their schedules are so different that they mostly don't get the chance to see each other in the morning either because Tiffany left before Jessica did or either of them had class later on in the day so one of them slept in all morning. It upset Tiffany at how little time they had together as a couple.
Tiffany can't remember the last time they went out together for a movie or out to eat. It was strange that Jessica was even home right now. The older college genius was mostly back at the campus, studying at the library for many endless hours. The brunette, however, did not question her girlfriend's sudden appearance. Tiffany was very glad to spend this time with Jessica.
Fueled with more eagerness, Tiffany got two towels and walked over to the bathroom. She decided to fill the tub first and messed around with the knobs to get a suitable temperature. Satisfied with the water, Tiffany clogged the drain and let the water begin to fill the tub. She waited for it to reach a little over half way then removed her clothes before getting inside. The second when Tiffany was fully submerged in the warm clear liquid a long and loud sigh was released.
The overstressed student felt her muscles begin to loosen then relax. Tiffany slid further down so that the water completely surrounded her shoulders. Exhausted, Tiffany began to close her eyes, feeling a lot more sleepy.
She was too lost in the soothing feeling the bath gave her she didn't hear the bathroom door open then closed with an audible slam. The peaceful slumber ended when Tiffany felt the water level rise and hit against her chin. A small gasp was let out and Tiffany quickly sat up, alarmed.
“Sorry, did I disturb you?” Jessica whispered, sitting across from Tiffany.
Tiffany put on a sheepish smile and shook her head.
“I was just kind of in my own world.” Tiffany explained, and leaned against the tub. 'You are right though...I need to relax.”
Tiffany felt Jessica's foot brush against the inner side of her calf as she shifted to get more comfortable. Tiffany can easily tell Jessica was just as tired and overworked. Although, unlike Tiffany, who wore her heart and emotions on her sleeves, Jessica never wanted to tell anyone how upset or sad she was. She was a lot more quiet and to herself, a contrast to Tiffany's loud and rambunctious behavior. Sometimes, Tiffany wondered how they came together as a couple and eventually concluded that opposites just attract.
This was probably the case with both of them. The noisy woman though did not believe Jessica's ice princess exterior the minute they met, but the mystery to Jessica's personality did draw Tiffany and the questioning and pestering paid off. They were now together, completely in love, and happy even if college did put a bit of a damper on their relationship. Tiffany believed their love was strong against any struggle.
“Are you okay?” Tiffany sweetly asked. “I know how maintaining your scholarship can be a little too much sometimes.”
Jessica looked across the tub with an emotionless stare and looked down into the clear water. Affectionately, Tiffany rubbed her foot along Jessica's leg to sooth her. Despite being together for three years, Tiffany knew they needed space at times and some things were better off left unspoken. From experience, she knew that Jessica will eventually speak she just needed time to speak about her issues.
“Come over here.” Tiffany gently requested.
Without any questions, Jessica obeyed and settled between Tiffany's legs then pressed her back against her. Tiffany's arms wrapped around Jessica's waist and rested her chin on Jessica's shoulder. Tiffany can feel Jessica's muscles become less tense at the touch of their skin-on-skin contact. Tiffany started to smile and hugged Jessica a little tighter.
“I miss this...” Tiffany mumbled. “...us being able to spend quality time together. Most of the time, we just sleep next to each other and that doesn't really count as being with each other socially.”
“Mhm...” Jessica sleepily murmured.
After about one minute, Tiffany started to frown, her mind starting to wonder off again to needed task that just could not be neglected. She decided to break the silence with her worries she had to let out.
“I should really be working on my essay.” Tiffany blurted out. “By the way, what time do you have work tomorrow?”
“You know...you're kind of ruining the purpose of the bath.” Jessica chuckled. “You're supposed to just be relaxing. You can be motherly another time.”
Tiffany let out a small laugh of her own and nuzzled into Jessica's neck. She was just too used to having her mind think about various task at once and worried about the times when she was supposed to attend work and other important events. It was a little difficult to not be concerned about the things around her, such as when Jessica attended work and when she will be home. Tiffany wanted to make sure Jessica would be safe during her travel.
Jessica moved around again, but this time she shifted herself so that she was facing Tiffany and kissed her. It was something unpredictable that Tiffany even thought of but she relished the feel of the soft fruity flavored lips against her own. The shock from the sudden burst of affection lasted only two seconds and Tiffany kissed Jessica back feverishly.
Blindly, Tiffany's right hand cupped Jessica's cheek and opened her mouth to let out a small sigh. Jessica easily slipped her tongue into Tiffany's mouth and received a loud moan in return. Feeling fueled to go further, Jessica moved closer to press their bodies together. She felt Tiffany's hand rest on Jessica's shoulder and backed away just an inch to catch her breath. Tiffany bit her bottom lip to control herself and looked up to Jessica with cloudy lust filled eyes.
“Let's go to the bedroom.” Jessica whispered, watching Tiffany's eyes flicker to a darker color.
“I-I...have to start my essays.” Tiffany stuttered.
Jessica pressed her forehead against Tiffany and pouted. She knew Tiffany had always been the more mature one and very responsible, but something told Jessica she can easily win her girlfriend over with a little more persuasion. If Jessica's guess about how badly Tiffany missed her intimate contact then without a doubt the deal was already sealed. Neither girl can even recall the most recent time they've had sex and they both were sure some of their stress was due to the lack of bedtime activity.
“You can always start that tomorrow.” Jessica grinned.
“Yeah, but I need to...” Tiffany let out another moan.
Jessica continued to kiss the side of Tiffany's neck to try and win her over. Tiffany pushed Jessica back.
“Let's get out of here.” Tiffany suggested.
Jessica held a winning smile and clasped on to Tiffany's hand then yanked her out of the tub. Quickly, the two young women raced out of the bathroom, letting out fits of overexcited giggling. Tiffany fell backwards onto the bed and let out a small squeal as Jessica fell on top of her. A pair of hands rested besides Tiffany's head and for a moment the two lovers looked at each other, in awe with the amount of love that shinned in each others' eyes. It was a lot like a mirror. Their emotions were connected. Jessica brushed a strand of black hair from Tiffany's face.
“I love you.” Jessica proudly proclaimed.
Tiffany felt herself start to blush then grin. A cheerful laugh was let out and Jessica felt her own heart flutter at the bright smile Tiffany was displaying, her trademark eye-smile.
“I love you.” Tiffany repeated.
Jessica leaned down, crushing her lips against Tiffany's. With their eyes closed, both womens' hands tied closed together, sealed in a silent promise. Their love was strong and true it was evident in their touch and every shiver their bodies made.
The feeling was overwhelming and indescribable. For now, the papers and reports due and everything else that needed to be done didn't matter. They were all forgotten. The night was theirs and they were going to make every last minute count.
