so.. i got a letter in the mail today, saying i make too much money to keep receiving medicaid. so now i have no health insurance. totally not a good thing. i cant afford my routine dr appts, and i cant afford my medication AT ALL. so im totally fucked. i have no clue how to get my own health insurance. so i guess im just gonna start calling places ( Read more... )

welcome to my life.
medacaid wont except me cuz i have a trust fund.
and my trust fund will not pay for me to have health insurance.

i dont want this to sound ignorant or un-caring..
but i feel there's a huge difference between us medical wise.
if i didnt have an incurable life threatening disease when untreated, i wouldnt be so worried.

i have to pay to see my shrink once a week.
also, i have really horrible anemia and hypoglausmia im sopposed to be on medicine for, and im not cuz i cant afford it without insurance.
it sucks for me too.

why don't you apply for a job at AIG? you get IMMEDIATE benefits. if you want i can keep an eye out but you'd have to be able to work 5 days a week 7:30-4 or 8:00-4:30

yea, it sucks not having insurance. but for me, i only have to pay full price for my medications for atleast 2 months if/when i get a new job. but anywho, my brother has some kinda medical insurance that he pays for, and he has his daughter on it. he works temp at du pont, so he gets no benefits. i can look into it for you and i think its kinda cheap, thats only if you want me too.

perhaps you should see what your income has to be for medicaid to accept you and adjust your hours at work. that's if you want to continue working at your current place of employment. i dunno.

the letter they sent has how much i make, and how much im allowed to make. ive thought about that also.. but, i'll have to do some math and see if id still have enough for bills and what not.
