Do you think Gokudera'll ever get a girlfriend?

She's fascinating as a character~ I'm still floundering somewhere around chapter 158 of the manga and relying on Wikipedia and my imagination regarding all the spoilery bits. XD ...But if she gave birth to Dera, she's gotta have some spunk somewhere, right? Dera would probably remember her as beautiful and motherly, but somehow I don't see her as the Japanese flower that got wooed into bed, if you know what I mean. Think it warrants more investigation/ficcage? Haha.

Hm... I think the possibility's there. Maybe after I've exhausted the Yamamoto-with-girlfriend scenario. XD What do you think?

Yeah, Gokudera's too headstrong for his mom to be superweak... and his dad is either so weak as to give in to temptation, or so greedy that he thinks he can have any girl he wants. (But then at the same time, Bianchi isn't half-bad/mean of a character. I don't think Bianchi means to poison people with her cooking... aha.)

Well, Yamamoto with a girlfriend is more plausible just from what we get from the V-Day scenes, aha. Yamamoto standing there, with all those girls, going "Hey thanks!", and Gokudera going "get away!! *evil glare*" Still, it isn't impossible. It's just going to be hard to write a girl that's strong enough to not be turned off by his potty mouth/bad family history, pretty and yet not enough to remind Gokkun of his mummy, and still not be a Mary Sue. Gokkun is a hard character to love, actually, aha. Many sympathize with him and think he's a cool badboy-turned-good sort of character, but would you ever want to live with a moody guy like him? XD

A bit of both, probably. It's amazing that Gokkun and Bianchi turned out relatively okay, assuming they take after at least one of their parents. Of course we don't know that much about either of their mums (yet) or even their dad, really. I'm more surprised that they get along: wouldn't there be issues with inheritance/successorship, not to mention the whole your-mum-stole-my-dad-from-my-mum business?

Haha. I definitely agree on that account. I think Gokudera's more likely to have a blasé boyfriend or a casual girl who somehow sticks around for longer than anyone anticipated. XD I'm itching to write it now~

i love angst, and you did the drabbles really nicely. though i don't think they tie up together in a single timeline, right? anyhow, what's 8059? and all the other codes? i don't get it. i'm a manga reader btw. never watched a single episode of reborn.

Thank you. Yeah, the drabbles are all disconnected, but some happen to have the same subject matter. :3

8059 is a shorthand way of writing Yamamoto(paired with)Gokudera: 80 represents Yamamoto, and 59 represents Gokudera. The numbers are taken from the characters in their names. There's a very nice reference list you can check out here. Hope that helps!

Perfect! I like this bit: There really is nothing subtle about him, Gokudera marvels as he kicks open the nearest classroom door and drags Yamamoto into it by his open shirt collar. It might be true that Yamamoto's unsubtle, but like Gokudera's any better then? Poor Kusakabe.
