An experiment on style and tense-swapping; a story about Gokudera's parents written for demanawaits. <33 Just because. Since the two are currently anonymous, I'm only speculating on their characters; I've also taken the liberty of naming them (but symbolically) after attributes I imagine them to possess. :3

Oh wow.

"Downstairs, his son solemnly saves a slice of birthday cake for his dead mother...she had her revenge in the form of a quiet child with oddly coloured hair."

So much is told and shown in such a short piece it's almost poetic. Excellent use of the script form and loved the way you effortlessly slipped Gokudera in at the end to tie the piece to KHR proper.

The last act... I initially wanted to provide Gola's reasoning behind killing his mistress; pressure to abide by the mafia code? Falling out of love? But in the end I couldn't decide - maybe he didn't even have a definitive reason himself. The ending turned into a sort of explanatory summary instead. ^^;
