why dont i ever use this subject line thing
Wow... i really update all the frikin time these days, dont I?
Well, since i have nothing better to do than ramble while i upload my cds into itunes and relive music from the good old days when i carried a cd player all the time ::rolls eyes:: Im going to spill some guts or something...
Its been a busy beginning of the year. Heres my course list now:
US History until 1877- sweet teacher... im hoping shell turn around my opinions of us history... either way, ill actually read the text.
Economics- this class should be a nobrainer... i hope.
Gender and Global Development- I think this class will affect me in similar ways to the current issues class i took last semester. I hope i enjoy it... its taught by this cute little indian woman. she seems cool.
Utopia/Dystopia- an interesting class that will take up a lot of my time, taught by a teacher who wants us to call him spike. He also considered outloud that he might take adult toys to one of his other, more boring classes. I laughed. Of course.
Lit- I think im going to enjoy this class...
I was taking folklore, but it was gonna be too much work, adding up to 18 hours and included an enormous field research project that i didnt wanna do. SO there.
As far as extra curricular stuff, i have had a little trouble getting yoga club started again because i cant seem to find a place for us to meet... what a hassle... it would help if people would answer the phone and BE in their offices during their frikin office hours... whatever.
Im planning to join the big brother/big sister program this semester... im kinda excited about that. And of course, since its the beginning of the semester ive been crazy diligent about doing all my homework... this habit never lasts long, but well see.
I just finished reading the Virgin's Lover by Phillipa Gregory about Queen Elizabeth. She is m favorite author of historic fiction... Nothing else to report.
So for Utopia, we got an ipod which means i dled itunes and am suddenly motivated to upload all my cds onto my computer... im at almost 20 hours and im not done with real cds... after that ill do mixed and burned cds. This seems like waaay more music than i realized i had.
So for my birthday, mom has been finding on amazon old school polly pockets and cupcake dolls, two of my favorite girly toys when i was little. Shes got a whole mess of them for me to play with tomorrow! Im kinda excited. Shes making biscuits and gravy and whatnot and patty is coming over to experience some mountain/southern culture. Im pretty excited.
I could go on about moms health, my underlying lonliness, my sleepiness, my summer job status, my need to shop for a new cellphoen.... and many other thigns, but i dont particularly feel like it... note: sleepiness.
