You'd think after 50 years the memories and pain would go away, the 'triggers' less powerful. No the door never closes. Me and my wife are both victims. The only thing we have committed to is to break the chain and make sure it never happens to our daughter.

God Bless you and your wife and my prayers are with you re your daughter, I have three children, all grown now, 2 boys, 1 daughter, I broke the chain in home but I could not prevent what happened to my daughter in CECEP...if she would tell me which professor, said person would be missing a few body parts!
I'm doing all I can to 'pick up the pieces' and re-enforce her self-esteem.

No shit .That is what I told my wife about her father that if I ever saw him again I would kill the little shit head for what he did to her.
