Being Hugo's friend...I have settled for that many, many times. But when I'm near him...the feelings just flare up again. It's just...I don't want this to be merely an infatuation. I don't like that. I don't think anyone else does, either.

Well, you know how I feel about him... but I don't have to live with him...! I don't know how I would deal with that!!

But I'm just... happy to be his friend, I guess. I wouldn't trade that for the world... but it is kind of hard to accept, isn't it? We'll be okay, though, I'm sure of it!

Being his friend...really is hard to accept. When I've thought I had it all taken care of and done with, all the strings that I've carefully strung together come apart again.
