There were some amazing lines in this episode. Charles Dance does an excellent job of making Maltravers horrifying and come. Even though I enjoyed the episode I don’t have much of substance to say about it, just a collection of observations and questions:
Angela can be really ruthless but she has the worst instincts when it comes to picking allies and causes. I don’t know whether she just underestimates Maltravers or whether she is hampered by still having some scruples. I hope she’s got a long game because nothing she’s tried so far seems particularly successful.
Why can they not contact the Americans? I get that they can’t discuss anything important over the phone or email but surely they could find a way to hint that all is not well without compromising security?
Theo really needs to start telling his friends the truth even when they aren’t going to like it. First Charlotte last week and now Maddy.
Gabriel is really quite stupid when it comes to talking to women.
Who is Rosalind supposed to be marrying? Dorian, someone involved in the Project, an unknown, Lord Ravensby himself? Also, oh Rosalind! I thought you were less self-destructive than your cousin but you seem to be switching places.
