Love your thoughtful review.
I really liked the contrasts you drew between Merlin and Arthur and their secrets and Uther and Gaius and their secrets. Dang, I really didn't want to see it that way, but I guess it cannot be ignored.
I also liked that you compared Gaius making decisions on behalf of Morgana with Merlin making decisions on behalf of Arthur. Fascinating, particularly as Gaius is not seen very favourably for his actions although we accept Merlin's somewhat easier. I really cannot predict which way it's going to go.
