ALWAYS TAKE AT LEAST ONE TRIED AND TRUE COSPLAY. at least that way you know you'll have SOMETHING that works. i think you should go with Fairy Rikku if you're gonna do something new. Arpegius seems too simple and while Merle IS cute, there will be 10,000 other Merle's and Catgirls there, so why not stand out? now, if you can do the whole thing where the scarf on Fairy Rikku makes it look like she has wings, that'd be TOTALLY AWESOME, too!

yeah, i was thinking of taking an older cosplay anyway...and i was planning on trying for the wings on the scarf ^^
