Lately on LJ or furaffinity I've seen a lot of opinions about body types. What is attractive and what isn't. What is healthy and what isn't. And I've seen a lot of comments suggesting that being thin is not natural and that larger women are what is more natural. Now, I don't know what is natural for anyone else, but a size 2 with a 25 inch waist is ( Read more... )

as far as natural goes, I don't think anyone can really be the judge, except for in cases where it's obvious the person has "enchanced" themselves" to un-natural porportions.
as for attractive, that's all in the eye of the beholder.
I myself tend to draw curvier women just for the fact I prefer them, not that I don't like slender ones, just my style fits better with the slightly more curvy ones.

I like drawing them curves. And when you look at styles like lullaby-child's, you really can't deny that curvy looks really good in some styles.

Then there are some styles that look good with REALLY LONG torsos, etc...but it's so much fun to draw curvy womens. 8D

Mostly I'm replying to this comment cause I had to say "amen". P:

I totally agree with you. I tend to draw slender, curvy women because thats closer to my body type so thats what I'm more framiliar with and I use myself as a reference when I draw.

MUSE HOLY CRAP LUCKYYYY. Aww, you guys are cute.

I wear 1s and 3s with my sz 25 waist. I think my dress was a 4 and it fit okay. I had a lot of extra space in it [particularly in the boobs] and it was a little long for me [but that's usual length for wedding dresses]. It was just the only size they had in stock.

I hate when people see pictures of me or when I'm walking down the street and people automatically assume, "ANOREXIC" because I'm way too skinny. I don't want to be this way, in fact, I've been trying to gain weight [and I'm up to 95 lbs now! :O], but whatever. Beau likes me and I like my body shape [not my skin, though. XD] so fuck everyone else.

I like everyone, no matter what size they are. It's not a big fucking deal, IMO.

Kind of off-topic and kind of not, Beau read about some guy that didn't get a part in a movie [some comedian] because he was too fat for the fat guy role he was auditioning for. P: lolz

I totally agree. Its mostly the attitudes some people have expressed about size that got a little irritating. I mean really now, all sizes are beautiful.

Heh, I had to pay an arm and a leg for those tickets. Which is funny cause I saw them back in 2004 when they weren't as popular and it was in a tiny theatre, almost all standing room so I got pretty close to the stage and I got my ticket they day of no problem. Oh yea, and after the concert I got my ticket signed by them. :P

I'm a size 8 (10 tall in jeans), 136 lbs. at 5'7". I wear a very popular size and I think I'm pretty average for an American woman. I like my size and I may not have large breasts or "junk in the trunk" but I am very happy with my body. I do my best to treat it very well, too ( ... )

I also think it's terrible when women wear these extremely skin tight jeans at their hips--doctors have warned that this can severely limit circulation in the legs, which will in turn lead to earlier vericose ("spider") veins.

I did not know that! I've noticed that thing about the vanity sizing though. Which kinda makes it seem silly to base how beautiful someone is by what size they wear.

And yes, we shouldn't forget about inner beauty because that is what counts the most!

You're not curvy. Yer cuuuurrrvy. ;)

I agree though, it is natural for some people, one of my best friends(a guy) weighs about 125 and is.. skinny enough to be scary. Thing is, it is natural, in fact, he's tried to gain weight numerous times in life and just can't. People have different sizes, the problem isn't ones size, it's when they do damage to themselves by trying to change it too much, or by not changing it(e.g. like back problems and strain from weight).
