Update from the Spooky-Front for G&D

So, I was working again today, and it was a slooooow day, so I decided to delve into the backstock to refill our small specs display. A lot of people buy stones from our display to use in various New Age and magick ways, but I've never really put much faith in the "healing power of stones". *shrugs* Just never saw or felt anything that made me believe.
'Til today. Going through the backstock, a sodalite egg came just short of standing up and telling me, in its best Screamin' Jay Hawkins voice, "I don't care if you don't want me, I'm YOURS!" It caught my eye and wouldn't let go, and it felt powerful in my hand, and since I've been told to keep my eyes, ears, and heart open and accept the Spooky - who was I to say no?
So, out of curiousity (and a need to fill more time while the store was devoid of customers) I read the entry on sodalite in The Book of Stones by Robert Simmons and Naisha Ahsian. And, well, now I know why I needed that egg.
"RS: Sodalite is a stone of insight, helping one penetrate paradox and contradiction in order to form a new synthesis of thought. [...] It facilitates self-discipline, efficiency, organization, and structure in research and other mental pursuits. [...]
"Sodalite is one of the stones of the deep journey. It provides insight into the self and a dispassionate assessment of one's motivations, strengths, weaknesses, desires, gifts, and patterns of personal destiny. If one is doing deep meditations or shamanic journeys, Sodalite can be an important ally. It can reinforce one's 'witness' consciousness, making one more able to view and remember the scenes and symbols presented. It brings a kind of stubborn courage into oneself, making it more likely that one will hold on through the difficult or painful aspects of the path to the Source. It stimulates psychic vision and multileveled understanding, sparking the 'aha!' moments wherein one sees the pattern that connects the inner and outer worlds and the events that happen in both places at once.
"[...]
"[...] It helps one to let go of the self-judgment tat causes second-guessing. [...]
"NA: It can be used to help one recall one's dreams or to practice lucid dreaming.
"Spiritual: Sodalite helps one perceive where one's path lies. It acts as a 'signpost' on one's personal journey, helping one become immersed in the experience of spiritual growth, without obsessing on the 'magic tricks' that can go along with one's awakening."
