Thank you, frannie <3 And congrats to you! Banjo's definitely the light of my life and home (which I'm not sure how it's still standing since it's kind of a rotting shell). I can't make any promises on regular appearances since I'm the slowest responder to comments in the world. I think if LJ added a 'like' or 'read' button it would make life easier for everyone here (but not much of a conversation starter I know) ;)
You and my SIL were battling aliens around the same time. Next August will be her 5 year mark, and we are praying for continued good health and luck. As I wish for you.
So sarry to hear about your mom That's so difficult around the holidays. Please take care of yourself and come say hi when you can.
*falls over from your glomping* Your B/J icon is the cutest and I don't ever remember seeing that one. I remember your SIL and wish her continued good fortunes. I'm hoping to celebrate my 6th year since diagnosis next May (this month it's 4 years since I finished my second course of chemo). I plan to spend my 'terminal prognosis' funds on a trip to countries I haven't visited yet then.
Even though my mum and I argued often, we also spent the most time together these past 6 years, including going away for weekends. She was also the only one I could discuss the most inane topics with and I'll miss all of that. But I'll just have to open another chapter in my life even though I'll miss her dearly. I'll just have to learn to stop feeling guilty about me being well and avoiding the majority of people as a result.
Thank you <3 All that ass-kicking can be tiring though, especially with one abnormal leg but I'll keep working on it. And I miss my dirty old mind and how fandom used to be :(
Thank you. I'm always thinking about you guys too but it gets harder when you no longer have anything fandomy to offer. But let's all have a shiny new year :)
