#01 - Air:

Three little words from Shindou and Touya is on top of the world.

#02 - Apples:

"You're comparing my hair color to that?" Touya asked indignantly as Shindou's eyes flickered back to the Granny Smith.

#03 - Beginning:

It was fate, he finally decided-- fate and aging man who couldn't deal with his hair loss that first drove him into Touya's Salon; the next day, Akota-san received a huge gift basket from Shindou Hikaru.

#04 - Bugs:

Shindou was practically hysterical by now: "DIE! Why won't it die?!" he wailed as the monster-sized cockroach skittered out of Touya's throwing range.

#05 - Coffee:

"You like ramen," Touya shot back irritably.

#06 - Hurricane:

Shindou tugged on his arm insistently: "The wind's picking up, we have to get to higher ground, come on!"

#07 - Despair:

Suddenly, Ko Yongha returned Shindou's intense stare with a challenging smile that caught Touya in the stomach like a well-placed uppercut.

#08 - Doors:

"Shindou! We're in public!" Touya hissed in outrage as the bathroom lock clicked shut, and Shindou flashed him a wicked little smile: "I know."

#09 - Drink:

Touya promptly decided that Shindou would never again touch alcohol after the latter stumbled in one night, well after curfew, giggling and crooning American Pop songs under his breath.

#10 - Duty:

"When are you going to stop reading that silly magazine?" Touya asks as Shindou pores over the latest Jump, and Shindou glances at him in mock-horror: "Never! Stop reading? This thing is the definition of my very being-- stop reading, indeed."

#11 - Earth:

Touya spent five whole hours in his garden the day he met Shindou, arranging and rearranging the dirt and stones, muttering under his breath and going over the same game time and time again.

#12 - End:

In the game of Go, the board, the stones, and the opponent are your entire world until the final points are tallied; Shindou thinks his life is one big Go game with Touya as his opponent, and he hopes it will last forever.

#13 - Fall:

"Let's jump," Shindou said suddenly, and before Touya could reply, they were in the air.

"I'm not cold," Touya insisted, but accepted the blanket and pulled just a little closer to Shindou as the embers continued to burn.

"Whoa," he whispered in Touya's ear as Waya lifted Isumi's leg over his shoulder, "I didn't know we could do it like that."

#16 - Flying:

"Is this your first time?" Touya asked in surprise, and Shindou nodded frantically as the captain announced take-off.

#17 - Food:

"If I eat ramen one more time, I'm going to become ramen"-- Touya realized his mistake in wording far too late.

#18 - Foot:

"I-I mean... it could only look nice on you?" Shindou amended hopefully.

But as Shindou knelt to set fresh incense in front of Shuusaku's tombstone, Touya couldn't help but get the feeling that it wasn't Shuusaku who Shindou was praying for.

#20 - Green:

"So why IS your hair that color?" Shindou asked innocently.

#21 - Head:

Shindou keeps his dyed bangs and all long after it's gone out of style-- not because no one would recognize him without it, but because he knows how much Touya secretly digs the rebellious side of him.

#22 - Hollow:

"I've never defeated father in a game before," Touya continued, voice breaking into a sob, "and now I never will."-- and Shindou held him tighter than he ever had before; the knowledge of such a pain struck only too close to home.

#23 - Honor:

"Shindou, we just spent that last hour arguing over whether or not ghosts exist," Touya said wearily, rubbing his head as if it ached; Shindou huffed at him: "Yea, so?"

#24 - Hope:

It's Touya who hauled him to his feet, it's Touya who pulled him along, it's Touya who pushed him to keep going; Shindou is still waiting for the day he can repay the favor.

#25 - Light:

"Who taught you how to do that?" Shindou breathed in wonder, eyes glittering; Touya smirked.

#26 - Lost:

He nudged Touya from across the board and said, sadly: "Neh, looks like I finally caught up."

#27 - Metal:

"I never knew you were good with manual labor," Touya said amusedly as Shindou handed him the rusted water pipe.

#28 - New:

There are over a thousand ways to open a Go game, and Touya is always pleasantly surprised when Shindou comes up with an unusual, yet brilliant, one.

#29 - Old:

"That hand you played hasn't been popular since the Edo period," Touya sighed; Shindou raised his eyebrows: "Really? I thought I just came up with something brilliant."

#30 - Peace:

The unspoken agreement is that Touya buys the ramen and Shindou buys the coffee, that way, they can limit each other's food consumption and make sure neither of them die from food poisoning; the system doesn't work.

#31 - Poison:

Touya didn't realize how badly Shindou's poor choice of music was affecting him until his father calmly told him that he was humming Porno Graffiti under his breath.

#32 - Pretty:

Shindou captured the sunlight in such a perfect way that Touya completely forgot his vow of conservation and used up his entire last roll of film.

"It was a day like this when you came running after me," Shindou said softly, laying the umbrella on its side; "Do you remember?"

They wasted two whole years-- two years they could've played GO in, two years they could've been friends in, two years they could've.. nah, they were probably too young in those two years anyway.

#35 - Roses:

"Don't look so surprised," Shindou said, flustered and blushing crimson as he shoving the whole bouquet into Touya's arms, "I didn't forget, if that's what you thought."

#36 - Secret:

"This was the game you played that so disappointed me," Touya said, after enough time had passed so that old wounds could be reopened without causing too much pain, and Shindou laughed nervously; he still has not told Touya about Sai.

#37 - Snakes:

"I won't let go until you say it."

How frozen raindrops could make someone so insanely hyperactive was beyond Touya Akira-- then again... this was Shindou Hikaru.

#39 - Solid:

"You're here, I'm here, and that's all that matters."

#40 - Spring:

Shindou liked the north wall side of his garden the best because they were invisible when the sakura petals fell.

Touya had not been the one who helped him recover from Sai's disappearance, but he was the one Shindou ran to when he finally had.

#42 - Strange:

It is always ja ne with Shindou, never sayonara; Touya remembers a time when it was both, and wonders what could've caused the change.

#43 - Summer:

Touya would never understand why Shindou always lost 10+ plus moku when they played at his place; Shindou would not ever understand why Touya bought an apartment without basic air conditioning.

#44 - Taboo:

Suddenly, Touya shoved him against the cold, unforgiving wall of the hotel bathroom whispering over and over again: "I don't care. I don't care."

#45 - Ugly:

"That was... hideous," Shindou choked out, and they agreed to never again discuss Ogata-san's... questionable taste in art.

#46 - War:

Something hard and wet and COLD smacked the back of his neck and Touya vowed revenge.

#47 - Water:

"That stuff has no flavor," Shindou replied, tightening the hold on his own bottle of peach-flavored soda.
--Note: I've actually seen peach-flavored soda water in Japan. o_O

#48 - Welcome:

"You. Bed. Now." Akira commanded the second he stepped through the threshold and Shindou was so surprised he obeyed.

#49 - Winter:

"I was about to beat the game," Shindou said sullenly as Touya unplugged Help Penguin-sama Survive~!!: Third Edition.

#50 - Wood:

"This is an excellent Go board... by why did you want to show it to me?" Touya asked; Shindou smiled softly and began to talk, in that dusty little attic, about a person very important to him; a person who departed for the Other World a thousand years after his time; a person named Sai.

*twiddles thumbs* Er... see, as you can no doubt tell, I got a tad bit impatient near the end and just... well, apologies anyhow. ^^;
