Amy Pascal in Interview magazine

Okay, I read what Amy Pascal had to say about Heath in Interview magazine.  Below is an exerpt:

AMY PASCAL: That scene in Brokeback Mountain where he stops himself from crying and he goes around the corner and sits down-I think of that scene, because it was so human and so authentic and so much about being in love.

Donna,

I think she's talking about the alley scene. However, she could also be referring to the scene near the end of the film, when Ennis is at the Twist house and he visits Jack's old bedroom. He has a moment where it looks as if he's going to cry (just after he picks up the toy horse and rider off of the dresser), but he manages to compose himself. Ennis then walks over to the window and sits down.

A masterful performance that still gets to me, even after all this time. *sigh*

Maybe it IS the scene in Jack's bedroom. There actually is the shine of tears below his left eye, I watched the movie several times before I noticed the tears. But he doesn't break down as he did in the alley or by the river when he and Jack fight, the last time they ever see each other. Thanks for reminding me. A very powerful scene, the kind Heath did so well. Donna
